Glossy Buckthorn is an invasive plant that is widely spread in Bolton and in Massachusetts. Best method to control it is by pull, dig and cut. Here is a link to Additional Resources if you would like to learn more.
This fall one of Bolton Trails volunteers, Janet Johnson, has teamed up with conservation agent, Rebecca Longvell to schedule Buckthorn removal volunteer events once a month. They covered some of the area last month during September. Next volunteer activity is planned on October 24th from 9-11 a.m. Details can be found on town website by clicking here
