Trees blocking trails at Vaughn Hills and Rattlesnake – cleared by volunteers.

Vaughn Hills:
A large tree fell at Vaughn Hills bringing down other tree and blocking the path from Bare Hill Road to the Beaver Pond. There was also a smaller tree causing a minor obstruction on the same path. This had been reported by a trail user to Larry Kunz.
So on Monday June 19 Larry joined Gordon Taylor to clear the problem.
Rattlesnake:
A neighbor to the Rattlesnake area had come across a large fallen white pine blocking the trail to the Sawyer Mill site and reported it through this website. Drew Schaubhut checked it out and marked using the Trailcare app. He also noted a nearby, smaller fallen tree at the junction with the “Atlantic Union path”.
So on Wednesday 28 June 2023, Winslow Green and Gordon Taylor braved the wet weather and cleared both obstructions.
